Preamble

We, the delegates of the National Peasants’ Party, assembled at Super Paradise Hotel, Wakaliga, on the 20th of December, 2024, in a spirit of unity, purpose, and resolve, hereby declare and affirm the guiding principles of our party...

In recognition of the invaluable contributions of the peasants’ communities... We commit ourselves to the empowerment of all peasants...

Article 1: Identity of the Party

Name

National Peasants’ Party (NPP)

Motto

"Peasant power / We are the power."

Symbol: A pen standing, symbolizing Knowledge, Equality and Power.
Flag: Black, white and red colors.
Logo: A pen writing on a paper with a clock pasted around them.
Headquarters: Kampala, the Capital City of Uganda.

Article 3: Aims and Objectives

Empowerment of Peasants

Advocate for policies... rural entrepreneurship...

Agricultural Development

Sustainable farming... land tenure security...

Economic Equality

Fair wages... accessible healthcare...

Environmental Protection

Sustainable practices... climate adaptation...

Article 4: Membership

  • Full Membership: Open to all Ugandans aged 18+, registered, who uphold the constitution and reject corruption, nepotism, tribalism.
  • Honorary / Associate / Life / Founder: Special categories as defined in the full document.

Party Structure (Article 5+)

Hierarchical branches from Village → Parish → Sub-County → Constituency → District → Sub-Region → National.

Each branch executive committee consists of 31 members with dedicated roles for Women, Youth, PWDs, etc.

National Leadership (Articles 12–28)

The supreme organs include:

  • National Delegates Conference (Supreme Organ)
  • National Council
  • National Executive Committee (NEC)
  • President, Vice President, Secretary General, etc.

Final Provisions (Articles 35–44)

Electoral Commission

Impartial body responsible for free and fair internal elections.

Amendments & Dissolution

National Delegates Conference holds ultimate authority. Fundamental principles remain protected.
